Proteonomix is working to offer families a new and unique banking option that maximizes the curative potential of their baby’s umbilical cord blood.
We believe that the cord blood banking model we are developing will be safe, cost-effective, and easy to understand. Best of all, the cords will be collected and stored at no cost to the donor family.
Our Goal
Our goal is to collect, process, and store cord blood units in a brand new way
combining the concepts of autologous (storing units for the benefit of the donor) and allogeneic (storing units for use by the general population). This process will effectively eliminate the price barrier for those who have not yet considered banking life-saving stem cells and will increase the total number of donations to help everyone in need.
Proteonomix’s intention is to establish the Proteonomix Cord Blood Bank to help meet the growing need for transplant grade cord blood stem cells which have been identified as a potential treatment for more than 80 diseases.
We also intend to address the current lack of genetic diversity in existing cord blood banks.
We will be launching a marketing program to increase participation of minority groups currently under-represented in the pool of available stem cell units. The program will be a vital part of our future banking process and will allow all potential recipients -- with a wide range of ethnic and racial backgrounds -- access to life-saving cord blood units.
